Who we are...
The Hillside Mine Community Consultative Committee (HMCCC)
is an independent group that has been established to ensure an effective and ongoing relationship between the Hillside Mine developer Rex Minerals Ltd (Rex) and the Yorke Peninsula community, particularly those residents surrounding the Hillside Mine located 12 kilometres south of Ardrossan.

The HMCCC is an independent committee, working with, not for Rex Minerals.
What we do...
The HMCCC focuses on the interests of the entire community. Our key approach is to work closely with Rex to ensure that the Yorke Peninsula community gets the best possible outcomes from the Hillside development.

Together, we will work to help maximise local benefits that a project like Hillside can bring to regional communities and help create a lasting positive legacy.
About the Hillside Project
Rex is developing its 100%-owned, fully permitted copper and gold Hillside Project, 12km south of Ardrossan on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. Hillside is one of the largest undeveloped copper projects in Australia. In July 2020, the South Australian Government approved Hillside’s Program for Environment Protection and Rehabilitation (PEPR) for Stage One of the Project.
Stage One has an 11-year mine life and lays the foundation for a 20 plus year operation. In development,
it will become a long-term major regional employer in SA with a direct workforce of over 500 people during construction, and over 400 people during operation.
